Jerrinja Balaang Photography 2022

The Jerrinja Balaang (women) photography workshops support mentoring of Jerrinja women to learn the craft of digital photography and visual storytelling — immersed in Jerrinja Wandi Wandian Aboriginal language, shared by respected Jerrinja Elders. Photographic skills and mentoring is provided by talented award winning photographer and artist Tamara Dean.

The project aims to produce a series of photographic works that express and share each participants own story-telling, imagery and language for a major curated cultural exhibition, to be displayed at the Shoalhaven Regional Art Gallery and other touring exhibitions in 2023.
