COPYRIGHT NOTICE

Southland Creative Inc will use commercially reasonable efforts to exploit any rights it has been granted to commercialise the Short Films.

After the filmmaking workshop program has been completed, filmmaking participants grant Southland Creative Inc a Non-Exclusive License to use, promote and display the Film in perpetuity, in whole or in part.

Participants will retain full copyright of their films. Southland Creative Inc will retain rights to publish, for the use of Promotion, Publicity, Viewership, Media and Audience Engagement across digital websites, social media channels, and/or outdoor public screening events.

We may also nominate the short films for short film events, festivals, competitions, online events and potential approach broadcasters in partnership with the film maker.

The Filmmaker agrees to indemnify Southland Creative Inc and hold them harmless from any damages, liabilities, losses, costs, expenses, obligations or claims (including, without limitation, reasonable third-party legal fees and costs) arising out of the breach of Filmmaker’s agreements, obligations, representations and warranties under this Agreement, including, without limitation, those representations and warranties under the Copyright Act 1968.

COVID-19 SAFE WORK PRACTICE

 

Southland Creative Inc, its Board Members and contractors, work to NSW Health and Workplace standards.

This means that filmmaking workshops and mentoring may require participants and mentors to use online video conferencing software to reduce health risks during the Coronavirus pandemic. 

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

Southland Creative Inc provides this filmmaking workshop program free of cost or charges to selected participants. We work to a standard of providing professional mentoring and relationships between our team and all participants. We celebrate all human cultures, backgrounds, languages and abilities.

Southland Creative Inc does not tolerate inappropriate behavior. We provide a safe and respectful working environment for everyone involved.

Participants are reminded that many young aspiring filmmakers have missed out on participating in this filmmaking program, and by agreeing to this cultural contract you understand and acknowledge that your selection to participate requires you to complete the full program and publish your short-film at the end of the program.
